Which brings to my final point, how does pfsense handle double nat situation? I am behind the community router and cannot put it in Bride mode effectively double mating myself. It still works fine for the speeds I am getting for community wifi(spectrum) type setup. I was thinking of using that and virtual box but its micro form factor and cant get another NIC in it so that is out of option. Netgear recent update made all R8000 DDWRT. I have a linux server media server running 24/7. Should I go with this and dive into the world of learning pfsense. Comes with I5 4th gen AES-NI capable and 8gb of ram with 256 SSD Crucial. I have a local marketplace listing($150) of dell optiplex 3020 with already two dual port NIC installed in it. So I am trying to make a decision on getting something and have heard of pfsense a lot. Even flashed factory firmware and still nothing including nvram erase mulitple times. What other build can I use that is stable Cheers, Netgear R7000 DD-WRT v3.0-r46329 std. And then now no matter what I do it wont come back up. I also cannot set it as an access point because when I change the IP address of the Netgear to 192.168.1.11 or something of that sort, there is an extra box for a digit so it ends p looking like 192.168.1.11.0 and after router reboots, cannot login.
My R7000 2.4 GHZ frequency broke and stopped working after ddwrt update I did(Stupid of me).
